Steve Lee
As the founder of Raleigh Billiard Academy I set out to create a way to provide a recognized form of instruction
to all skill levels of pool players. With over 30 years of experience as a player, referee and instructor and as a
Certified instructor I have worked as a promoter of the sport and mentor to my students. Even with pool, work
and family I also still find time to enjoy playing golf, traveling and spending some time on home improvement
projects.

Steve’s competitive spirit is contagious, so in 1999 I began playing competitively.  I have been playing the APA
league since that time and have been a member of several teams that have qualified and played in the Vegas
Nationals. In the last year I have begun to participate in several individual tournaments and recently finish 4th
in the WPA qualifier held in Goldsboro, NC. Enjoying the sport and having a background in training in my
corporate job, it seemed only natural to set a goal to train in the field of my personal interest. I am currently a
Recognized Instructor and joined the Raleigh Billiard Academy staff in 2007. Managing the website and the
curriculum for our pool school courses, following the BCA methodologies, has been challenging and exciting.
